HEDWIG MEMORIAL CENTER POLICIES AND PROCEDURES

PAYMENTS:
WE ACCEPT MONEY ORDERS OR PERSONAL CHECKS. NO CREDIT OR DEBIT CARDS. (sorry)
The total amount for all the food/liquor service must be paid at least eight (8) days prior to the event when submitting the final count of persons to be served. No meals will be served without this payment.

General Policies

All food, linens, tables, chairs, liquor, must be purchased through the Memorial Center. NOTHING ALLOWED TO BE BROUGHT IN BY The leasing party may bring in EXCEPT only decorations and wedding cake, nothing else. You must supply own cake plates, forks and napkins, foil and knife for the wedding cake. We do not cut or serve the wedding cake.


HALL RENTAL: The Hall rental fee includes the following:

1.     Up to six (6) hours of use of the Hedwig Memorial Center on day of event

2.     Round tables that seat 10 per table

3.     Use of microphone and stand

4.     Use of a spotlighted mirrored ball

5.     Set up and clean-up of the hall

6.     Lighted planters with skirting (nothing to be put inside planters please)


KITCHEN/FOOD

The following policies apply to meal service:

1.     All food is to be prepared and served by the Memorial Center Staff. NO outside food may be brought into the Hedwig Memorial Center, per State Law by the leasing party by State Law.


2.     The total number of persons to be served must be reported to the Memorial Center staff eight (8) business days prior to the event. The total cost of the meal service and bar must be paid at this time. 

3.     Leftover food is the property of the leasing party. Hedwig Memorial Center will provide containers for the transport of all leftover food for an additional flat fee of $65.00.


BAR

The following policies apply to bar and beverage service: (5-hour limit on any bar):

1.     All beverages and bar supplies must be purchased through the Hedwig Memorial Center, perr by State Law

2.     No alcoholic beverages will be served be served to anyone under the age of 21,.

Any person appearing to be less than 35 years old will be asked to provide identification.

Hedwig Memorial Center reserves the right to refuse service to anyone. Anyone who appears to be

3.     Intoxicated or is otherwise argumentative and/or abusive may be removed from the premises by security.

The bar opens one (1) hour prior to eating and will beclosedbe closed 1 hour during the serving of the meal and

4.     Reopens after servers clear everything the tables.

5.     The bar will close no later than 11:00 p.m. for all events. No "last call" will be given


HALL

1.  The hall(s) will not be available nor open for use by anyone more than 1 hour prior to an event.

2. All activities associated with the event must cease no later that 11:00 pm

    The Hedwig Memorial Center must be vacated by all persons no later than 12:00 Midnight.

3.  The hall may be open for decorating on Friday if available. The hours for decorating are 9:00 am to 2:00 pm. If the day

    before your event is not open, then the hall opens at 9:00 am the day of the event for decorating. 

   There is  NOTHING TO BE HUNG FROM THE CEILINGS OR TAPED ON THE HALL WALLS. No glitter, no rice, no flower petals, no party poppers or confetti poppers, and no confetti may be used inside the hall. Candles are permitted if they are in votives or glass enclosed containers.

4.  No open flames are permitted (Fire Department Order). No candles are permitted. Leasing party is responsible for taking down all decorations and removing them that evening.


DAMAGES:

The Hedwig Memorial Center assumes no responsibility or liability for any property that is lost, stolen or damaged. Any damages to the Memorial Center, its furnishings or surroundings or premises caused by the leasing party and/or guests of the leasing party are the responsibility of the leasing party. The hall deposit includes  $250 for potential damages. If no damages occur this portion of the deposit will be returned to the renter. Any excess damages above $250 will be billed. Charges for these damages will be billed to the lessee below.
